Semillitas, the children’s animation channel owned by SOMOS TV—chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of SOMOS Group—announces the premiere in October of the series Musipaches (Rockoons), a vibrant and educational production that joins its lineup of internationally acclaimed, high-quality animated programming.
With this new series, Semillitas reaffirms its mission to provide safe, commercial-free content free of violence, focused on the Latino community in the United States, Central America, Panama, and the Caribbean.
Musipaches features a group of adorable raccoons—Doka, Re, Mimi, Lala, Faf, Sisi, and Soh—who live inside a magical music box. Through games, songs, and dances, these unique characters explore the world with curiosity and creativity. Each episode is designed to enrich preschoolers’ vocabulary using fun and accessible language techniques, accompanied by colorful and stylized 2D digital animation. With Musipaches, Semillitas strengthens its role as a trusted ally for parents and a joyful learning source for young children. The series was licensed to TwelveP Animation.
Luis Villanueva, President and CEO of Somos Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the series launch: “Musipaches represents our ongoing commitment to delivering the best educational entertainment in the best environment for young children. We maintain a channel with a constantly refreshed screen, increasing value for our clients and audience, and we love partnering with parents to entertain, promote, and reinforce our values.”
Musipaches joins a successful catalog of international series such as Maya the Bee, Angelina Ballerina, Strawberry Shortcake, Bob the Builder, Little People, Caillou, and Fireman Sam. Semillitas also enhances its offering with educational interstitials that celebrate the values, traditions, and holidays of Latin culture.
The channel broadcasts in High Definition and includes Closed Captioning and Audio Description, earning it the prestigious Outstanding Achievement: Spanish Media Award from the American Council of the Blind.
