ViendoMovies, the 24-hour channel that programs original cinema produced in Spanish, without commercial breaks and produced by SOMOSTV (a company part of SOMOS Group and chaired by Luis Villanueva), premieres the film “Amor en el Aire” (2022), a film produced by the sister company SOMOS Films, in co-production with the company Rodando Films. The film premieres this Saturday, December 2 at 9pm ET. The channel programs exclusive films of contemporary cinema in Spanish from all Spanish-speaking countries and stands out for a premium on-air presence, supporting the talent of cinema produced in Spanish. “Amor en el Aire” stars Jean Paul Leroux, Alejandra Villafañe, Mario Duarte, among other actors. The film is directed by Carlos Daniel Malavé. “Amor en el Aire” tells the story of Jimmy Valderrama, an unemployed soap opera actor who suffers from visceral terror of airplanes. His agent, Michel, gets him an audition for a television series with the aim of saving his career. The problem is that Jimmy has to “fly” to another country. Although Jimmy refuses, Michel reminds him that his ex-wife, the first actress Mariana Lagos, has confiscated all his assets and he is bankrupt. Under the influence of alcohol and many tranquilizers, Jimmy gets on the plane and suffers a panic attack. In the midst of a nightmarish show, he meets a flight attendant named ANDREA. He falls in love with her on the spot, but she thinks he is “a bad actor and a superficial guy”. Jimmy will do everything possible to conquer Andrea, and she will realize that, deep down, he is a simple and human man, full of humor, but with an important weakness: he is incapable of making decisions. It is the force of love and the divine intervention of an extraordinary God that will push Jimmy to seek true happiness for the first time in his life.

Carlos Daniel Malavé, a director of extensive filmography, has nominations for important awards. His film Blindado was a candidate for Venezuela for the Goya Awards 2020 and won 2 awards from the Academy of Cinema of his country. The film has also been nominated for the Hollywood Florida Film Festival, where it received the award for best feature film and the Manhattan Film Festival where it won the recognition of best international feature film. Amor en el Aire also has the executive production of Luis Villanueva, Thaelman Urgelles, Juan Ángel, Ivana Villanueva, Juan Andrés Rodríguez and Carlos Daniel Malavé.
