MIAMI, Fl., August, 2020 – ViendoMovies, the pay TV channel owned by SOMOSTV (company chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of SOMOS Group), which programs the best exclusive films originally produced in Spanish, 24 hours a day and without commercial breaks, highlights its programming strategy for the month of August by supporting Mexican talent with the “Suárez-Zurita” Movie Cycle, dedicated to the actors Cecilia Suárez and Sebastián Zurita. The objective of this cycle is to support the Mexican talent within the channel’s Latino audience, who mostly are from Mexico, which resides in the United States.

Film, television and activist actress, Cecilia Suárez has been recognized worldwide for her performances in international productions. Suárez was the first Spanish-speaking actress to be nominated for the International Emmy Awards for Best Actress and has participated in more than 40 film and television productions. Cecilia has been recognized for her support of the causes of women and human rights in general.

Paying homage to Suárez, ViendoMovies presents on Sunday the 16th Tercera Llamada, a comedy that tells in a satirical way how a play is performed and the people who are involved. The film was nominated for the Seminci Awards in Valladolid, the Havana Festival and the Ariel Awards. To finish this great Movie Cycle, on the 30th the channel presents Elvira, Te Daría Mi Vida Pero la Estoy Usando, a dramatic comedy where Suárez plays a woman in search of her husband who left her to start a romance with someone else.

The actor Sebastián Zurita has been cultivating his career since 2008 in productions for television and cinema, making his great debut with the soap opera En Nombre del Amor. Opening this Cycle, on Sunday the 9th Amor de Mis Amores is presented, a romantic comedy who Zurita stars with Sandra Echeverría. On the 23rd Ciudadano Buelna, starring Zurita, is a biographical drama that tells the story of Rafael Buelna Tenorio, a law student who gave his life to see the ideals of justice and equality in Mexico.
