MIAMI, Fl., May, 2019 - ViendoMovies, the channel owned by SOMOSTV that programs the best exclusive films 24 hours a day and without commercial breaks, will present this Sunday a special programming honoring Hispanic mothers. The channel keeps the tradition of celebrating this day, so significant for the Latino communities, as a strategy of celebrating all the Hispanic’s most important holidays.

ViendoMovies will show a variety of films from different genres that allude the mother figure Los Insólitos Peces Gato (Mexico), Ma Ma (Spain), Mamá Se Fue De Viaje (Argentina), 9 Meses (Spain), Las Ineses (Argentina), 3 Bellezas (Venezuela), Conducta (Cuba) and El Hotel (Mexico).

Among the featured films is Los Insólitos Peces Gato from Mexico. The film obtained 13 nominations and 9 awards among them the Ariel Awards and the Mar de Plata Festival. Claudia (Ximena Ayala) is a lonely young woman employed in a supermarket who ends up in the hospital with a severe case of appendicitis. There, she meets Martha (Lisa Owen), a woman resting in the bed next to hers. Martha is a mother who gets often visits from her children, and this makes Claudia to establish an interesting friendship with Martha.

Ma Ma deserves a special mention. Awarded 14 nominations at eight film festivals, including the Goya Awards, Penélope Cruz personifies Magda, an unemployed mother and teacher who is diagnosed with breast cancer. Magda and her family will experience unexpected scenes of humor, drama and happiness.

From the renowned director Ariel Winograd (Sin hijos, Permitidos, Mi primera boda), Mamá Se Fue De Viaje  tells the story of Victor (Diego Peretti) and Vera Garbor (Carla Peterson), a couple who have been married for 20 years and have four children: Bruno, Lara, Tato and Luna. Vera is fully dedicated to her children and Victor, has a very busy working life, and does not know about the daily life of his wife and children. Victor thinks that his wife's daily life is "easy", so Vera decides to take a vacation and leave her husband to take care of the children. It is there where the problems begin. 

ViendoMovies celebrates these occasions to highlight the cultural relevance of the channel and the link it has with its audience.
