ViendoMovies Celebrates Mexico’s Revolution Day

MIAMI, Fl., November, 2019 – ViendoMovies, the 24-hours a day channel, chaired by Luis Villanueva (part of the Somos Group company), featuring exclusive, commercial free movies, originally produced in Spanish, celebrates this November 20 the Mexican Revolution, dedicating its programming to the people coming from this beautiful country and residing in the United States. The channel will offer a special and exclusive programming with high-profile Mexican films: Las Vueltas del Citrillo, Mexican Ganster, Sueño en Otro Idioma, Paraíso, Sopladora de Hojas, Cambio de Ruta, Adiós Mundo Cruel, Yo No Soy Guerrillero, La Última y nos Vamos, El Hotel and Besos De Azúcar.

The Mexican Revolution began in 1910 and was a war that originates from the popular discontent towards the dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz. During this time, in 1903, the movie Las Vueltas del Citrillo is plotted.  In a “pulqueria” in Mexico City a chief police, two policemen and two prostitutes get drunk and talk about how miserable their lives are during the course of the dictatorship. The film was directed by the famous director Felipe Cazals and was winner of 6 Ariel awards including best film, adapted screenplay, main actor (Damián Alcázar) and secondary actor (José María Yazpik).

The celebration of the Mexican Revolution continues with the great Mexican success Mexican Gangster. Winner of four Ariel awards, this action film narrates the story of Alfredo Ríos Galeana, the most prolific bank robber in the history of Mexico. The plot revolves around his assaults, his personality, his leaks and the intense and long relationship he had with the person who finally catch him. The movie promises to have viewers entertained from start to finish.

ViendoMovies also presents Sueño en Otro Idioma, a 6-award-winning Ariel movie. Martin goes to a jungle to study Zikril. Martin discovers that there are only two native speakers left alive, and they do not talk to each other for over 50 years. Martin will try to reconcile them and prevent this ancient language from disappearing. In Paraíso, Carmen and Alfredo have been together since high school and are about to get married, so they decide to lose weight together. However, Carmen fails to lose a pound while Alfredo drops more than forty.

With this special programming, ViendoMovies celebrates with the largest Latino community in the United States, reflecting the strength of the Mexican film industry, which has produced so many memorable films in all eras.
