MIAMI, FL., November, 2023 – Semillitas, the 24-hour commercial-free Spanish-language children's animation channel owned by SOMOSTV (a company presided over by Luis Villanueva), will premiere the acclaimed animated series for preschoolers, Ziggy and the Zoo Tram, on Friday, November 17th. The channel will premiere the series for its audience in the United States, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and all of Central America.

Ziggy and the Zoo Tram is a computer-animated (CGI) television series produced by ZDF Studios and based on an original concept by the acclaimed Belgian children's book author, Leo Timmers. The series has been a great success in Europe, and now, the first two seasons are coming to Semillitas TV.

In these first two seasons, we will get to know a group of animals with a very special secret. Every morning, Ziggy the crocodile, along with his friends, including Miss Emily the elephant, Lionel the lion, and other zoo animals, get dressed and board a magical tram. This tram takes them on an adventure by land and sea. However, on each journey, unexpected events occur that turn their trip into a great adventure.

Ziggy and the Zoo Tram has great reception among preschoolers, with recurring themes of teamwork, friendship, and problem-solving. The series is designed to be both entertaining and educational, combining elements of adventure, humor, and the magic of a secret world inhabited by zoo animals, to help children develop creativity and problem-solving skills. Semillitas is recognized for offering safe, educational, violence-free entertainment in neutral Spanish for children, supporting Latin traditions and preserving the language during these early ages, which is an important motivation for Latino parents, especially in the United States.
