MIAMI, FL., February 2023 – ViendoMovies, the 24 hours, commercial free, Spanish-language film channel, owned by SOMOSTV (company chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of SOMOS Group), presents this Saturday February 25 the exclusive premiere of the Spanish film, El Sustituto. As a film channel originally produced in Spanish, ViendoMovies is a window into contemporary cinema in this industry, complementing this promotional work with the coverage and sponsorship of events that present this type of cinema in the United States and Puerto Rico.

El Sustituto, directed by Óscar Aibar, is about a young policeman, who agrees to go to work in a seaside village in the hope of curing his daughter and, in the process, gaining some tranquility. Once there, he is involved in the investigation of the strange murder of the inspector he has to replace. The investigations will take the public to a beach hotel where a community of elderly Nazis, claimed by many countries for crimes against humanity, live a paradisiacal and happy retirement.

El Sustituto is a Spanish thriller/drama that has 3 nominations in two major Spanish-language film festivals. It was nominated for the Malaga Spanish Film Festival for Best Spanish Film in 2021. At the Feroz Awards, the protagonist Ricardo Gómez was nominated for Best Actor and Pere Ponce for Best Supporting Actor.
