Semillitas, the 24-hour children's animation channel in Spanish without commercials, owned by SOMOSTV, (company chaired by Luis Villanueva), announced in September the license for the prestigious animated series Caillou. The channel will premiere the series on November 9 for its audience in the United States, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and all of Central America. Caillou is based on the books by Canadian writer Hélène Desputeaux, and focuses on a 4-year-old boy who is fascinated by the world around him.

Like the famous original series, Las Nuevas Aventuras de Caillou is about a four-year-old boy named Caillou, who learns about the world around him with the help of his family and friends. An animated series aimed at preschoolers that highlights the value of family ties, imagination as a tool for fun, and the importance of making friends. The series consists of 2 seasons with 5-minute episodes.

Caillou is shown as a loving child who continually asks questions about reality and naturally behaves like a child his age trying to understand everything around him. Caillou is very curious and the stories in the series are entertaining, including very popular songs. The series has been widely distributed in the international market and has achieved great recognition in different markets.
