MIAMI, Fl., November, 2022 –ViendoMovies, the movie channel in Spanish 24 hours a day and without commercial breaks, owned by SOMOSTV (company chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of SOMOS Group), presents in November a cycle dedicated to the 2022 Soccer World Cup, with exclusive theatrical movies originally produced in Spanish and with a soccer theme. The set of films selected to join the celebration of this popular sport includes 4 films to be scheduled each Sunday in November: Hombre de Fe (Costa Rica), El Futbol o Yo (Argentina), Campeones, Mexico Sub 17(Mexico), and Los Futbolisimos (Spain).

This cycle to celebrate the Soccer World Cup on ViendoMovies joins the passion that is awakened in each World Cup. Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the Hispanic community, which counts among its countries of origin countries with a long soccer tradition such as Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Chile and Colombia, among others. During the World Cup, soccer dominates the conversation, in an atmosphere of friendship and making it one of the most watched events on international television.

To begin the cycle, which begins on Sunday, November 6, the Costa Rican film, Hombre de Fe, directed by Dinga Haines, is scheduled. A boy from a rural area of Costa Rica named Pérez Zeledón finds his passion in soccer and a path to a better life. On his way to achieve his sports and professional goals, and help his family, he will face an unknown city and challenges that will test his character, but will make him discover the true strength behind the dreams of him. The story of Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas, from his humble beginnings in his hometown to his rise to greatness as an elite soccer player.

The comedy El Futbol o Yo arrives directly from Argentina the following Sunday. Pedro's passion for soccer surpasses that of most mortals: he is a total soccer addict, a passion that is ruining his married life. When he hits rock bottom, he must rehab his addiction and get his wife back.

The third film in the cycle is Campeones, Mexico Sub 17, directed by Lourdes Deschamps. This film tells the story of a soccer coach and 21 players under the age of seventeen who achieved the feat of winning the first World Cup for Mexico. The plot goes beyond the soccer fields telling us the adventures of the players and coaching staff on their way to victory.

To culminate the celebration of the 2022 World Cup, ViendoMovies presents Los Futbolisimos, a Spanish comedy with a nomination for the Seattle International Film Festival for Best Film. Members of a high school soccer team must figure out why some referees fell asleep in recent games.

The original film channel in Spanish stands out for a programming strategy, which has as one of its objectives the support of the film industry in Spanish and its events.
