MIAMI, Fl., August, 2021 – Semillitas, the 24-hour commercial free animation channel for children between 0-6 years of age, owned by SOMOSTV, has acquired the broadcasting rights to the animated children’s series Historias con Osos ("Book Hungry Bears") from 9 Story Distribution International. The channel’s audience in the United States, Puerto Rico, Central America, Panama and the Caribbean will enjoy the series premiere in early October. The idea is to present new and fresh content during the last months of the year where people spend more time watching television. Historias con Osos meets the parameters of the channel by being a prestigious animation, educational and free of violence. 

Created by children's writer and illustrator Martin Baynton (with successful children's books published in England, Australia and New Zealand), Historias con Osos follows Crystal, Bravo, Kimberly and Cady, four bears who love picture books. Every day, the little bears gather in search of books that flutter like birds among the paper trees of their magical world. Each adventure ends with these friends successfully finding a story to share. 

Semillitas’ audience will be able to learn how essential it is to have a book while the characters ask questions, point to the illustrations and get caught up in the story. The adventures of the bears take place in a beautiful world of paper and cardboard that the audience can recreate in their homes. For Semillitas this series represents an opportunity to support the importance of storytelling, which is the previous step to the love of reading, essential for the formation of every child.

Along with the other animations from well-known brands such as Pirata y Capitano, Louie, Dr. Panda, Bob el Constructor, Little People, P. King Duckling, Doozers, among others, Historias con Osos fortifies the message that Semillitas has of educating the youngest ones of the house.
