MIAMI, Fl., September 2020 – ViendoMovies, the commercial free channel owned by SOMOSTV (company chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of the SOMOS Group) featuring exclusive movies, originally produced in Spanish, premieres on Saturday December 12 Zona Hostil, a perfect movie for good cinema aficionados in the United States and Puerto Rico. The channel's strategy is based on premiering successful films such as Zona Hostil, providing contemporary, fresh and entertaining programming to the most representative communities in the Hispanic market.

With 4 nominations, including the Goya Awards and the Film Screenwriters Circle Award, Zona Hostil presents a real event that the Spanish Army experienced in Afghanistan. Directed by Adolfo Martínez and starring Ariadna Gil, Raúl Mérida, Roberto Álamo and Antonio Garrido, this is the story of an American convoy escorted by the Spanish legion which suffers from the explosion of a mine in the north of Afghanistan. The inexperienced Lieutenant Conte (Raúl Mérida) is in charge of the crew that will protect the wounded until they are evacuated. Captain Varela (Ariadna Gil), a military doctor, comes to the rescue in a Spanish Army helicopter, but the ground is not stable during the landing and the helicopter capsizes, leaving the rescuers trapped with the legionaries in the middle of nowhere. The impulsive Commander Ledesma (Antonio Garrido) proposes a risky plan to rescue them all. The film is characterized by a high level of production.

Zona Hostil obtained a revenue close to € 874,360 and an audience of around 145,000 viewers, significant figures in the Spanish market. Filmed in different parts of Spain, it had the collaboration of the Spanish Armed Forces themselves in the filming.

Along with this success are other premieres in the month of December: Handia (Spain), Locos de Amor 2 (Peru), Puesto Pa Mi (Dominican Republic), Ayúdame a Pasar la Noche (Mexico), Broche De Oro: Comienzos (Puerto Rico), Maquinaria Panamericana (Mexico) and All inclusive (Argentina).
