MIAMI, Fl., October, 2020 – ViendoMovies, the 24-hours a day SOMOSTV (company chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of SOMOS Group) channel featuring exclusive, commercial free movies, originally produced in Spanish, begins its fall cycle with exclusive programming dedicated to its audience in the United States and Puerto Rico. The channel brings exclusive contemporary cinema full of laughter, drama and many stars, in a programming effort for times when (apart from the pandemic), the weather invites to stay at home.

For October, ViendoMovies presents Reinos (Chile), El techo (Cuba), La hermandad (Argentina), Acusada (Argentina), Traición (Mexico), Como la espuma (Spain) and El último traje (Argentina).

In the movie Traición, the director Ignacio Ortiz Cruz (Cuentos de Hadas Para Dormir Cocodrilos) narrates the complex relationship between Félix (Juan Manuel Bernal) and his daughter Misela (Diana Ávalos). They both live their lives seeking to fulfill unattainable dreams and without knowing that the hardest moment of all will be deciding whether filial love or their own ambition weighs more. Films from Mexico are especially important to a market whose demographic is highly impacted by this community.

El techo (Cuba) is a film that was nominated at the Platinum Awards for best first work and original music. The drama is set in the center of Havana, where three young friends meet every day to tell each other stories and dreams. In the midst of boredom, they decide to build their own business that leads them to personal maturity, not without a certain happiness.

The channel also presents two Argentine films representative of the good cinema of the southern country: El último traje (Argentina) starring Miguel Ángel Solá and Ángela Molina. Abraham is a Jewish tailor looking for an old friend who saved him from certain death during the holocaust. The film was nominated for the Sur Awards in the category of best actor and costume. Acusada is a judicial drama where a young student is accused of the brutal murder of her best friend. Dolores prepares for the trial in isolation at her home. But as the trial progresses, secrets and suspicion appear within the family. Cornered by the evidence, Dolores must face her own doubts about what really happened. 

In addition to the great premieres, the channel wanted to give special attention to this month's celebrations, especially Halloween, a date that has become another celebration for Hispanics residing in the United States, and the Day of the Dead, a special holiday of the Mexican community.
