ViendoMovies Celebrates Halloween with Great Iberoamerican Movies

29-10-2019

MIAMI, Fl., October, 2019 – ViendoMovies, the exclusive 24-hour Spanish movies channel, commercial-free, with the best contemporary films, owned by SOMOSTV will present a "scary" special scheduled for this October 31, Halloween day. In the United States, Halloween is highly celebrated and many Spanish-speaking countries have adopted this holiday. The channel programming strategy, of the company led by Luis Villanueva, is based on the traditions and habits of the audience in each of these phases of the year.

ViendoMovies will show a series of films that go according to this "spooky" commemoration: Las Brujas de Zugarramurdi (Spain), Cygnus (Mexico), El Reino del Guardián (Mexico), Barrancas (Mexico), Las Saras del Diablo (Peru), La Herencia Valdemar (Spain), Fin (Spain), Cementerio General (Peru), Musarañas (Spain), Los Inocentes (Argentina) y Maligno (Peru).

The celebration starts with the awarded movie Las Brujas de Zugarramurdi (Spain). The actors Hugo Silva and Mario Casas personify two thieves who commit a robbery at a pawnshop and then flee from the police and the ex-wife of one of them (Macarena Gómez). Both hide in the depths of the forests of Navarra in a house inhabited by a horde of witches who drink human flesh. This bizarre comedy has won 18 awards at the Goya, Feroz, Fénix Awards, among others.

The Mexican film Cygnus, awarded at the Berlin Sci-fi Filmfest, Morbido and Fest Mount Vernon International Film Festival, narrates the story of Fabian, an astronomer who seeks to discover an unidentified object near the constellation Cygnus, more than 37,000 light years from the earth. What he doesn't know is that this discovery can change his well-being and his personality.

The Halloween party continues with the Mexican films El Reino del Guardián y Barrancas. El Reino del Guardián tells the mysterious story of four friends who go deep into a cave in search of a lost treasure, but instead, they will awaken the fury of the terrible guardian: the devourer who will eat away their spirits until they destroy each other. Barrancas tells the story of Mario, a man who travels to the town of Barrancas to deliver his uncle's house to a new caregiver. Mario takes the opportunity to invite the girl he likes and some of his friends to spend the weekend. What Mario doesn't know is that it can be a very dangerous decision.

We continue with Cementerio General. This film produced in Peru tells the story of Andrea (Airam Galliani), a teenager who suffers the death of her father. With the help of her school friends, she tries to contact him using the Ouija. This causes a chain of events involving ghosts and possessions.

The celebration continues on November 1 with The Day of the Dead, ViendoMovies will present: Entre Sombras (Mexico), El Soborno del Cielo (Colombia), Flores (Spain), La Brújula la Lleva el Muerto (Mexico), La Noche Que mi Madre Mató a mi Padre (Spain), Todos Hemos Pecado (Mexico), Carmina y Amén (Spain), Calzones Rotos (Chile), En el Último Trago (Mexico), He Matado a mi Marido (United States) and Mole de Olla (Mexico).
