MIAMI, Fl., March, 2019 – ViendoMovies, the 24-hours a day channel featuring exclusive, commercial free movies, originally produced in Spanish, starts this March with the right foot to bring you the best movies so you can enjoy them with your family and friends.
Starting with the award-winning film La Libertad del Diablo, the documentary tells the phenomenon of violence in Mexico through the testimonies of victims and perpetrators. La Libertad del Diablo is a psychological documentary in which we get to know the ones who suffer and who cause violent death. The documentary shows the stories of some of the victims submerged in this war, the characters who commit acts of violence and those who confront them and work on resolving cases. The documentary then focuses on the fears and nightmares that this causes in the people who experienced this event. La Libertad del Diablo has received more than 13 nominations at prestigious festivals such as the Fénix Awards, the Ariel Awards and the International Film Festival of Berlin among other important events.
This premiere is accompanied by the successful Mexican film Y tu mamá también, the great Mexican dramatic movie directed by Alfonso Cuarón and co-written by Cuarón and his brother Carlos. This well-known film tells the story of two teenage boys taking a road trip with a woman in her final 20's. It stars Mexican actors Diego Luna, Gael García Bernal and Spanish actress Maribel Verdú.
Special mention deserves Muerte en Berruecos (Venezuela), a film that narrates in the form of a thriller the death of Antonio José de Sucre and the conspiracy that guides the disappearance of the Venezuelan hero. This film is co-produced by SOMOS Films, a company of the SOMOS Group that begins in this way to participate in the film industry. Captain Alejandro Godoy discovers that much of the record of the previous process on the death of Bolívar's right hand has been destroyed. With danger of his own life, Godoy discovers a plot at the highest level that ends the life of Sucre.
These blockbusters are accompanied by other high quality films: from Cuba ViendoMovies presents Sergio y Serguéi, a winner film at the Málaga Festival, the Habana Festival and the Forqué Awards. The drama is based on 1991 when Sergio, a Cuban radio amateur, manages to establish a connection with Sergei, the last Soviet cosmonaut in space, starting a friendship that helps them face the changes in their respective countries.
ViendoMovies brings El hombre de las mil caras (Spain), a winner of 2 Goya awards, 1 Gaudí award for best actor and nominated in other international awards. Based on a true story, Francisco Paesa (Eduard Fernández) is a former secret agent of the Spanish government and responsible for the most important operation against ETA in history. He gets involved in a case of extortion and has to flee the country. When he returns years later, he receives a visit from Luis Roldán (Carlos Santos), former General Director of the Civil Guard, and his wife Nieves Fernández Puerto (Marta Etura), who offer him a million dollars if he helps them save 1,500 million pesetas stolen from the public treasury.
Among other releases the channel will show Sangre en la boca (Argentina), Secuestro (Spain), Cuando dejes de quererme (Spain) and ¿Cómo te llamas? (Colombia).
